As the overall VFX Supervisor for CBS’s ‘The Code’ season 1, I was responsible for all day to day VFX needs in pre-production, on-set and in post-production. With 60-100+ VFX shots per episode ranging from set extensions and matte paintings to fully CG vehicles this show provided a range of VFX challenges that were achieved using careful planning and budget conscious techniques. Working with the production designer, my team and I transformed locations in Long Island and Staten Island New York into far off battlefields in Afghanistan and Somalia. Additionally, I collaborated with the SFX Supervisor and Stunt Coordinator to plan key action and battle sequences and determine where VFX would augment or fully own effects like explosions, fire and muzzle flashes.
