This epic commercial for the launch of the Sony PlayStation 4 console, directed by Matthijs Van Heijningen, was an instant hit among fans. Despite how epic some of the scenes in the spot are there was a very small compositing team on which I made a tremendous contribution. As Senior Compositor, I integrated matte paintings in a number of the car chase shots and composited photoreal full CG cars to match the real Aston Martins used on the shoot. Additionally, I handled rig removals, adding space ships, set extensions, explosions, LED goggles, muzzle flashes and matte paintings to battlefield shots all while simultaneously handling lead compositing for the final epic shot.
